Robert James Hall died from wounds received while on combat operation when engaged hostile force in firefight. He was admitted to a military medical facility and later expired. / On ambush patrol when engaged hostile force in firefight.  Individual admitted to Company D, 1st Medical Battalion on 17 Feb 1969 at 1835 hrs and later expired.  Incident occurred on 17 Feb 1969 at 1815 hrs.
