Ricky David Mauney died from wounds received while a passenger in a military vehicle on a military mission when the vehicle hit a hostile mine. Individual was admitted to a military medical facility and expired shortly thereafter. / Passenger on Armored Cavalry Assault Vehicle (ACAV) on Rome Plow security mission when vehicle hit hostile mine.  Individual admitted to 2d Surgical Hospital, Lai Khe, on 10 Apr 1969 at 0900 hrs and later expired. Incident occurred 10 Apr 1969 at 0840 hrs.
