Cause of death: Non-hostile, died of illness/injury. Other Accident. Accident self-destruciton. Individual died as a result of injuries received while performing maintenance on a military vehicle when he accidentally touched the firing button causing the vehicle‘s weapon to discharge and was struck by the recoil mechanism. He was admitted to a military medical facility and later expired. / Loader on Sheridan tank pulling maintenance on vehicle.  Accidentally hit weapon firing button while adjusting search light.  Gun fired and barrel recoiled hitting EM in head.  Admitted to 24th Evacuation Hospital, Long Binh, on 19 Feb 1970 at 1215 hrs, placed on Very Serious Injured (VSI) list on 19 Feb 1970 at 1800 hrs, and later expired.  Incident occurred on 19 Feb 1970 at 1120 hrs.
